SkylandersBattlecastSkylanders Battlecast announced

Skylanders Battlecast is a free-to-play, mobile card battle game set to be released sometime next year by Activision. Skylanders is a monster franchise which has captured major league cash for Activision. The new game will feature both a single-player and multiplayer battle mode and will feature a unique twist in which players can purchase physical cards they can then scan into the game, or alternatively they can purchase the digital packs or cards in-game. Many of us have always hoped for a collectible Skylanders card game. While digital packs drive the free-to-play model, there is definitely something to be said about the smell, the sound, and the feel of “cracking-a-pack”.

SiegeRainbow Six Siege delayed

The upcoming title from Ubisoft for multi-platform release has been delayed until December as announced this week. The cause of the delay is the company’s decision to focus on a few key improvement areas they’ve sourced through feedback and internal testing. They will be taking these two additional months to “improve the co-op experience across all game modes, weapon and gadget balancing, as well as menu and interface navigation.” The projected closed beta start for September 24th will remain unchanged.
