“Man of Steel”: Superman + Snyder + Nolan.

Last year it was “The Avengers”, then “The Dark Knight Rises”, and this year is the turn of the biggest superhero in the world: Superman.

“Man of Steel” is the highly anticipated Superman movie starring Henry Cavill [from the tv series “The Tudors” and films like “Immortals” and “The Cold Light of Day”], directed by Zack Snyder [“300”, “Watchmen”] and produced by Christopher Nolan [The Dark Knight trilogy, “Inception”].

But what can we expect from it and why is it different from other Superman movies?

Whether you liked “300” or not, there’s no denial that Zack Snyder knows how to do proper action/science fiction and comic-adapted films.
Snyder often uses slow motion in and out of the fight scenes in his films, which will be a pretty interesting detail to see on “Man of Steel”.

Thanks to David S. Goyer and Christopher Nolan, we will see a Superman in a modern context, showing the story of Kal-El/Clark Kent from the beginning [something that the previous version with Brandon Routh didn’t do].
Like The Dark Knight trilogy, this version wants to show a more realistic superhero.

Also, the suit is a much sober and modern version [goodbye red underwear!].

So we can basically expect a very well made movie with a touch of Nolan’s style and Snyder’s action + effects, a more mature Superman [talking about the look], and a lot of action and entertainment.

Also, let’s not forget that, even though there are plans for a “Justice League” film, nothing is confirmed yet, as there is not even a script ready, there are some problems recruiting the actors, and Zack Snyder has NOT been confirmed as a director or producer [although he recently stated that if MoS is a success, he might be asked to direct “Justice League“].

Back to “Man of Steel”: I am pretty sure it will live up to all the expectations and more.
Release date: June 14th. Don’t miss it!
