Robert Pattinson to be a superhero?
I know, I cannot believe I typed that headline either. I feel I need to go and take a 20-minute shower. Wifey and I were actually talking about him last night regarding his very public dislike for Twilight – the movies that gave him his celebrity status. Before I get into enlightening you as to why I used this questionable title, let me back up the truck a little…
I, personally, am not a fan of his, uh, acting. Maybe, just maybe, he will grow some thespian chops over time. I didn’t consider either Leonardo DiCaprio or Brad Pitt to be great actors until later in their careers. Now, however, I know that if either feature in a movie these days you will get an incredible performance from them. Maybe Patty will have the same fortune. My beef isn’t with his inability to convince me as an actor but rather his petulant, piss-poor disdain – nay hatred – for the very franchise that made him. He is very outspoke about how much he, literally, hates the movies, his character, the books, the storyline… pretty much anything relating to the Eventide.
